"Ball, ball!"
Eating Cheerios. Can you tell he was in an ornery mood??
His poor nose looked bad, but luckily it didn't seem to bother him at all. On Sunday, he decided it would be fun to try to climb one of our bar stools from the back. It was NOT fun. It tipped over, the metal part under the seat slammed into his forehead & scraped his nose in the same place as his previous injury. There were lots of tears this time, some blood & an immediate bump in between his eyebrows. He scared us a little because he seemed pretty out of it for 5-10 minutes afterward. But we called the nurse line & watched for all the concussion signs as instructed. He was fine. Once he was over the initial pain, he again acted like it didn't bother him at all. It hurt me every time I looked at it, though.

He also got a bruise over his right eye. Ouch. I'm just glad he was ok. It looked pretty bad for a few days, but he healed pretty quickly. This was three days later.
Still scabbed up, but the swelling had gone down. The scabs were off about a week after it happened. As of today, he still has a red mark on his nose from the new skin but other than that, he's healed. I'm sure it won't be his last injury unfortunately... I guess these are the joys of having a rambunctious toddler that likes to run & climb! But I wouldn't mind if we could make it a few years without another one - or maybe fifty years. Ha!
